Landscape, lifestyles and livelihoods
Andrew Campbell provides his perspective on sustainability framing the issue in terms of landscape, lifestyles, and livelihoods as he teases out the problems he perceives as society moves towards sustainability. Campbell provides an evocative introduction to the course and you are encouraged to read the transcript of an interview with Andrew Campbell linked below before attending this panel as it will provide you with some valuable stimulus to arm your questions to Andrew during the panel discussion segment. The link to last year's lecture will also provide you with a flavour for what Andrew will have to say this year.
Recommended Reading
Recommended reading before both Andrew Campbell's discussion as well as
before the panel on Campus Sustainability. It provides an overview of
the issues that Land & Water Australia is concerned with as well as
addressing both the practical application of sustainable practices and
the importance of individual action. Definitely read the foreword by
Andrew Campbell, then have a flick through and read a few of the stories
which are organised by areas that can be seen in the contents. Those
about regenerating degraded farmland, for example, are particularly
relevant to Andrew Campbell's talk.
